We all have, at some point in our life, loved animated movies. I still love them a lot for the fact that they put across complex situations in such a simple way. Animated movies are simply un-ignorable. Also, we all have craved for some really good motivational movies to give us a push and set our souls on fire, fuel us to take actions. When things get tough and life feels low, we turn to some inspirational movie for encouragement.
Today I bring to you my 5 all-time favourite “animated yet extremely motivational” movies. I have watched each of these for at least 5-6 times over and over again, so I fully vouch for their effectiveness and for the fact that they will cheer up your mood for sure. These movies aren’t placed in any order cause if I have to give the Number 1 spot, I would go with all of them. That is the impact these movies have made on me. Without indulging myself in any more pep talk (kidding), let’s get on with the article.

How can someone not love this masterpiece ? The first time I watched it , I remember I was going through a very rough phase of my life and after watching this one, I remember crying out loud. All the self doubt I had in me, it started fading away. Thanks to these bunch of movies. Zootopia changed me as a person. It changed my perception towards everything- starting from life and its challenges to choice of movies. I started watching animated movies more than any other genre, thanks to Zootopia.
Judy Hopps, the fearless protagonist of the movie, aspires to become a Cop since childhood. However, she lives in a world where only predators can become police officer. Judy, being a rabbit (prey), has to face many obstacles to achieve her goal. Yet she succeeds. The struggle doesn’t end here. She is ridiculed at her workplace for being a “Bunny Cop”. She befriends a fox con artist, Nicke Wilde and ends up uncovering a huge criminal consiracy, saving the lives of predators of Zootopia and becoming their HERO. The plotline and execution will make you stick to your chairs while watching it and the ending will leave you with lot of lessons to take home with you.
Each and every line in the movie is flawless and will surely inspire you. Few of my favourite lines are –
“Life is a little bit messy. We all make mistakes. But no matter what animal you are, CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU.”
“Never let anyone see that they get to you. Always have courage to go through tough times.
“ANYONE CAN BE ANYTHING.” – my favourite
“I don’t know, when to give up.”
“Birds don’t just fly. They fall down and get up again and again. To FLY.”
These are just few drops out of the ocean. Cause in Zootopia, each and every line is a Masterpiece. So, do I still need to tell you how much I love it ?

This 2013 movie is the prequel of “Monsters, Inc.” which is next in the list.
This is about a young funny monster, Mike Wazowski, who is despised by his classmates due to the fact that he is not scary. But despite all obstructions, Mike still aspires to be a “Scarer” – monsters who enter human world at night to scare children and harvest their screams to energy, which is required to run the monster city, Monstropolis.
Mike works hard to get into his dream college. His encounter with Sulley (his classmate in college), which starts with a fight but ends with both becoming Best friends.
How Mike faces all the challenges with lots of positivity and enthusiasm and succeeds in overcoming them – is what forms the crux of this movie.
Many lines in this movie are quotable cause even if they are funny, they still succeed in making you learn the lesson. Some of my favourite lines are –
“ Dream Big. Never let anyone tell you that you are not scary.- My favourite.”
“ You and I are team. Noting is more important than our friendship.” – I would dedicate this to all my friends.
“ Every dream begins somewhere.”
“Don’t worry about anyone else. Just go out there and show them what you can do.”
“ Once you know which is the right path, how long it takes doesn’t matter.”- love.
I really love this movie. So, next time you pick up your phone for some entertainment , watch this.

Yeah, you won’t get over Mike and Sulley that easily. This movie is a wonderful mix of heart and humour. As mentioned earlier about how Mike wanted to be a Scarer. After graduating from ‘Scare School’ with Sulley, both of them start working as Scarers for ‘Monsters, Inc’ – a scream processing factory which turns the collected screams of children to energy. But what happens when a child (considered highly toxic in monster world) gets trapped in Monstropolis. Well, You have to watch the movie for that.
A delicious mixture of emotional and funny moments, this movie will leave you with a very nice feeling.
Some of my favourite lines are :-
“I wouldn’t have nothing, if I didn’t have you.” – this one was so damn romantic.
“You know I am so romantic. Sometimes I think I should marry myself.” – so me.
“Always remember, Laughter is 10 times more powerful than scream.”
“Sometimes failures lead to better things.”
“We are working for a better tomorrow, today.”
I will never get tired of Mike Wazowski. Same will be the case with you. Mike and Sulley are LOVE.
4. INSIDE OUT (2015)

Creative, clever, heartfelt and beautifully animated. This movie will take you on a roller coaster ride. The plot revolves around the various emotions of a girl, Riley and how emotions affect her life and how life affects her emotions. Emotions have been smartly personified. You will see 5 emotions – Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust, trying to lead her life through various challenges.
In the opening scene, we see Joy asking “Do you ever look at someone and wonder what is going inside their head ?” Inside Out answers it all. We see Riley juggling between anger and sadness, just like how it happens with us. There are many more instances in the movie where you totally feel Riley.
My favourite lines from the movie are :-
“There are a lot of things to be happy about.”
“No one can go through life feeling amazing all the time. It’s normal to feel down every once in a while. Without hard times, how would we know when we are in the good times?” – I love it
It’s okay not to be okay sometimes.” – All time favourite
“You cannot have Joy without Sadness.”
“Anger won’t solve anything.” – True
5 . RATATOUILLE
Genre: Animation, Comedy, Kids & Family
Directed By: Jan Pinkava, Brad Bird
Written By: Brad Bird
In Theaters: Jun 29, 2007 Wide
On Disc/Streaming:Nov 6, 2007
“You must not let anyone define your limits because of where you come from. Your only limit is your soul.”
Imagine a rat aspiring to be a chef in Paris. Going against all odds including his family, wishing to be something which you aren’t even sure if is even possible.
Meet Remy, the rat, hero our movie “Ratatouille”. His passion for cooking and his belief that “Anyone can cook” takes him to Paris. How he faces various challenges to even get a chance to show his talent in a field fully dominated by humans and how he overcomes all of those and succeeds in end is the plot. A sweet ‘Rags to Riches’ kind of story, flawlessly animated, it will definitely bring a smile on your face.
Jumping on to my favourite lines from the movie –
“All we do is take and I am tired of taking.I want to make things. I want to add something to this world.” – inspiring
“If you focus on what you left behind, you will never be able to see what lies ahead.”
“Not everyone can become a great artist. But a great artist can come from anywhere.”
“There is excellence all around you. You need only be aware to stop and savor it.”
“The only thing Predictable about Life is its Unpredictability.”- True
